Modelos del Real Seminario<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Las colecciones geol\u00f3gicas tambi\u00e9n han estado siempre presentes en el Real Seminario de Bergara desde la \u00e9poca de la Ilustraci\u00f3n. Recordemos que para las necesidades de los pioneros estudios de mineralog\u00eda y metalurgia, iniciados en 1777, contaba el Seminario con un rico gabinete mineral\u00f3gico en cuya organizaci\u00f3n y enriquecimiento intervinieron entre otros Ram\u00f3n M\u00aa de Munibe y Fausto Elhuyar. La colecci\u00f3n mineral\u00f3gica perdur\u00f3 durante todo el s. XIX, siendo enriquecida con la entrada de nuevos materiales, como ocurri\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1872 cuando el antiguo seminarista, eminente ingeniero y ge\u00f3logo y Presidente de la Comisi\u00f3n del Mapa Geol\u00f3gico de Espa\u00f1a, Sr. D. Felipe Bauz\u00e1 don\u00f3 al Instituto una rica serie de minerales de su propiedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El material geol\u00f3gico conservado hasta nuestros d\u00edas asciende a 369 f\u00f3siles y 1181 minerales. A pesar de la relativa abundancia de piezas y de la documentada importancia de estos materiales a lo largo de la historia acad\u00e9mica de la instituci\u00f3n, la reciente investigaci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rico-cient\u00edfica de las mismas no ha permitido a\u00fan establecer dataciones ni identificar con seguridad antiguos grupos materiales.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
